First Day in Genova

So after travelling for entirely too long, we finally arrived in Genova. We had many delayed planes along the way, and for a while we thought we weren't even going to be able to make it to Genova due to the snow, but it appears we were the last flight in before it got terribly bad. When we arrived we jumped in a cab and drove through the city up to Via Privata Piaggio 14, "Castelleto" section where our villa was. At this point the snow started coming down hard, which was rare for Genoa since they only get snow every couple of years. How lucky of us to arrive in Genova to be welcomed by snow!

Once we got inside we met Sylvia, basically the person in charge here at the villa. She showed us around the place, gave us keys, and then left us to choose our rooms and unpack. Since Lura, Po, and I were the first ones here, we got first dibs on rooms. Our room has 3 girls, it's own bathroom, and overlooks the entire town of Genova. So after we settled in a bit, we put on some snow gear and headed out into the private garden to enjoy the ever piling snow. It was simply beautiful.

More people are starting to arrive now, but we don't know if everyone is going to be able to get here by tomorrow due to these snow storms all across Europe. As of right now we haven't even heard from our professor, so we will see what happens about starting classes on Friday.

Hopefully tomorrow we will get to explore a little more of the town now that we are settled in and will be less sleep deprived. That's all for now!
